Be part of the hottest opening event in the suburbs! Rebel Music highlights the trailblazers who shaped genres from rock and funk to punk and soul. Inspired by BBFF Founder Vici Howard’s nostalgic Route 66 “Sunday Drives”, this exhibition rewinds, re-listens, and restores the recognition these pioneers deserve.

Opening Night Features:

  • ✨ Ribbon-cutting ceremony
  • 🍹 Cash Bar
  • 🎬 Screening of the 30-min film Rebel Music: Women of Color Who Changed the Beat
  • 💬 Post-film discussion with Black & Brown Femme Films

From Black History Month into Women’s History Month, immerse yourself in a celebration of brilliance, rebellion, rhythm, and legacy. Experience grown-folk vibes, cultural pride, and a museum night you won’t forget!

Admission: Exhibit is free with the purchase of a Joliet Area Historical Museum ticket. Remember, ONLY tickets purchased through the museum link will be valid!
