About Meisie
- Meet Meisie (MAY-see /ˈmeɪsi/), a passionate artist who draws inspiration from the beauty of small critters and the power of connection.
- Formerly the lead guitarist and vocalist of the acclaimed all-female band Blue Nude, Meisie is now on a solo journey exploring themes of love, friendship, and the urgent challenges of our time, including biodiversity loss and climate anxiety.
- With roots in South Africa, her name reflects her heritage and honors her grandmother, translating to “girl”.
About The Floor is Lava
- Recorded at Sing Sing studio in Naarm Melbourne, The Floor is Lava is a genre-blending masterpiece enriched with immersive bird and field recordings.
- The title draws inspiration from childhood memories and the challenges of navigating adulthood amid pressing global issues.
