Get Ready to Spin! Join us at the Pasadena Community Centre for our Inclusive DJ Workshops for Youth! Open to all young music enthusiasts aged 14-25, these dynamic workshops run every Sunday throughout Terms 1, 2, 3, and 4 of 2026.
Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this is your chance to dive into the world of DJing and prepare for thrilling live performances! Here’s what you can expect:
- 🎧 Introduction to DJing and equipment with a focus on safe operating procedures
- 🎶 Vinyl basics and learning to understand your audience
- 🎛️ Beatmatching and mixing fundamentals
- 🎤 Building a killer DJ set
- 🎚️ Effects and sound manipulation techniques
- 📡 Live streaming techniques for the modern DJ
- 💻 Digital DJing and performance skills
Your guide on this exciting journey is DJ Aaronac, a renowned South Australian DJ and qualified trainer, committed to making these sessions welcoming and accessible for everyone!
Workshop Schedule:
- Sundays: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM or 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
Term Dates:
- Term 1: February 1, 8, 15, 22; March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
- Term 2: May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31; June 7, 14, 21, 28
- Term 3: July 26; August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; September 6, 13, 20
- Term 4: October 18, 25; November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; December 6
All you need is a passion for music! While all are welcome, priority will be given to City of Mitcham residents. Cost: Just $5 for the entire term!
