Are you passionate about protecting your community from toxic pollution? Become a part of the West Oakland Metal Shredder Collaborative and help us tackle the health risks posed by metal shredding right here at Radius Recycling!
This is your chance to work alongside community members, government agencies, and leaders from Radius Recycling to address metal shredding emissions. Together, we can ensure that the health and safety of West Oakland residents remain a top priority!
At this exciting meeting, we'll:
- Receive updates from our working groups focused on creating best practices, investigating health impacts, and engaging the community.
- Set ambitious three-month goals for our Collaborative.
- Engage in lively dialogue between residents, regulators, and Radius leadership.
Whether you live or work in West Oakland, your voice matters! Everyone's experience is valuable, and together we can make a difference. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get involved!
Meeting Details:
- Venue: Fireplace Room, DeFremery Recreation Center, DeFremery Park
- Location: Just 1 mile from the West Oakland Bart station!
- Public Transport: 0.2 miles from the 36 bus, 0.3 miles from the 14 bus.
- Parking: Available on 18th and Adeline (please avoid the lot).
- Can't attend in person? A remote option will be available to call in!
- Please note: No food or childcare will be provided at this meeting.
